Al Noor International School celebrated its Graduation Ceremony at the Gulf Convention Centre on 27^th November, 2010. It was a glorious evening of recognition, pride and privilege. Al Noor students, parents and officials commemorated the excellent Cambridge results of June 2010.

The Chief Guest, H.E. Dr. Sh. Mohammed Abdulla Al Khalifa Minister of state for Defence Affairs, Kingdom of Bahrain, delivered an enthralling keynote speech. He congratulated all the students and wished them well in their further education and future endeavours. He handed out the certificates along with Mr. Ali Hassan, school’s founder Chairman. The function was also graced by the officials from MOE, other dignitaries and parents.

Extending a warm welcome to all the guests and parents, the Principal, Mr. Hassan Al Mehri, praised the exemplary results of IGCSE, AS and A Level students and highlighted the achievements of the school in the course of the academic year 2009-2010. He also congratulated all the students and wished them well in their further education and future endeavours.

In all, 239 students received their certificates, 120 in the IGCSE section with special recognition going to top students. From the AS levels the sweet laurels of hard labour went to Mohamed Wael Mohamed Lutfi with straight 4 A’s and Batool Abdulla Husain Al-Moallem

Henna Muhammad Quadir, Charlene Helena Desouza and Noor Marzooq Al Oraibi all with straight 3A’s in all the three subjects

Again Mohammed Tariq Mustafa Mohammed become the toppest in A Levels with the highest achievement in 2010 with 3 A*, Joshua Raymond Nazareth (2 A* and 2 A), Ahmed Abdulla Ahmed Bucheeri(1 A* and 2 A),

and A.Karim A.Rahman A.Karim and Ameena Moh’d Adnan Abdulla

each with three straight A’s. This is the best ever result since the inception of the school.

More than 50% of the grades of the students who appeared for IGCSE were A*’s, A’s and B category. The results achieved by the AS and A Level students were equally remarkable and noteworthy, many of whom had passed with distinction.

On behalf of the students present Marwa Ebrahim Abdulla Zeyad and Eman Razzak Shaikh proposed the valedictory speeches for IGCSE and AS/A Level respectively. Eman’s speech was full of gratitude and reminiscence whilst Marwa Ebrahim’s was one that was overwhelmed with emotions of achievements and success.

The School Chairman Mr. Ali Hassan expressed his immense pleasure at such excellent result and commended both the staff and students for the outstanding results. He thanked all the teachers for their integral role in the academic success and also hoped to see greater achievements for the years to come.

Mr. Moh’d Mashood, the school Director said that the management is looking ahead for better prospects and aiming at greater heights. He also expressed pride at our alumni student population spread around the globe.

The Graduation Ceremony was indeed a true culmination of diligence and reward in the Al Noor Academic Calendar - A celebration of good education.
