IGCSE,AS,A LEVEL GRADUATION CEREMONY

Al Noor International School celebrated its Graduation Ceremony at the Gulf Convention Centre on 12th November, 2011. It was a glorious evening of recognition, pride and privilege. Al Noor students, parents and officials commemorated the excellent Cambridge results of June 2011.

The Chief Guest, His Highness Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa , President of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of The Bahrain Olympic Committee, Kingdom of Bahrain, handed out the certificates along with Mr. Ali Hassan, school’s founder Chairman.

Also present were the Guest of Honour, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nu’aimi, Minister of Education, Kingdom of Bahrain. The function was also graced by the officials from Ministry of Education and other Ministries.

The School Chairman Mr. Ali Hassan expressed his immense pleasure at such excellent result and commended both the staff and students for the outstanding results. He thanked all the teachers for their integral role in the academic success and also hoped to see greater achievements for the years to come.

Extending a warm welcome to all the guests and parents, the Principal, Mr. Hassan Al Mehri, praised the exemplary results of IGCSE, AS and A Level students and highlighted the achievements of the school in the course of the academic year 2010-2011. He also congratulated all the students and wished them well in their further education and future endeavours.

In all, 274 students received their certificates, 146 in the IGCSE section with special recognition going to top students. Farayha Zafar Khan and Mariam A Halim Hassouna become the toppest of the IGCSE with the highest achievement in the international arena in 2011 with 6A* and 1A, Mohamed Juma Ali Al Dolabi and Mohamed Qasim Toorani (5A* and 2 A), Shahla Imadeldin Abdelrahman Abunaib(4 A* and 3 A), Mohamed A.Hasan Al Hayki (4 A* and 2A ), Hassan Ebrahim Mohamed Husain Badawi (4 A* and 1 A) Latifa Adnan Al Tamimi (3 A* and 4 A) Amr Yasser Kamal El Din Tharwat (3 A* and 3 A) Ateeb Khan(3 A* and 3 A) Omnia Alsayed Mahmood (3 A* and 3 A) Tasnim Mahmoud Mohamed Ahmed Abdelaty (3 A* and 3 A) Ahmed Khaled Hasan (3 A* and 3A ) Maram Salah Omran Alashoor (3 A* and 3 A) Ali Mohamed Ali Salman Yusuf (1 A* and 5 A) Mohamed Tareq Ahmed (1 A* and 5 A)

From the AS levels the sweet laurels of hard labour went to Muna Mahdi Yousef with straight 4 A’s and Adnan Muhammad Mushtaq, Ali Kasem Toorani, Moh’d Adeel, Momin Jawaid Ali, Moh’d Yahya Moh’d and Shamir Leon Colin Joseph all with straight 3 A’s in all the three subjects

Again Henna Muhammad Quadir become the toppest in A Levels with the highest achievement in 2011 with (3 A* and 1 A), Batool Abdulla Husain Al Moallem (2 A* and 1 A), and Palliyage Don Heshini E Perera with (1 A* and 2 A). This is the best ever result since the inception of the school.

More than 50% of the grades of the students who appeared for IGCSE were A*’s, A’s and B category. The results achieved by the AS and A Level students were equally remarkable and noteworthy, many of whom had passed with distinction.

On behalf of the students present Momin Jawaid Ali and Zainab Nader Mahmood proposed the valedictory speeches for IGCSE and AS/A Level respectively. Momin’s speech was full of gratitude and reminiscence whilst Zainab’s was one that was overwhelmed with emotions of achievements and success.

Mr. Muhammad Mashood, the school Director said that the management is looking ahead for better prospects and aiming at greater heights. He also expressed pride at our alumni student population spread around the globe.

The Graduation Ceremony was indeed a true culmination of diligence and reward in the Al Noor Academic Calendar - A celebration of good education.
